Our Year 5 pupils took part in a truly special ‘Fan the Flame’ service, a joyful and reflective celebration of faith, friendship and community.
Dan and Emily led the service with thoughtfulness and care, guiding us through a beautiful time of singing, readings, and prayer reminding us of this year of ‘Hope’. Each child played a part, whether as a reader, singer, answering questions, or in the procession, proudly carrying the St Gerard’s school banner.
We were welcomed at Corpus Christi Church, where we joined with other local Caritas schools, sharing this sacred moment as a wider Catholic family.
It was a morning full of pride, peace, and joy – a time to reflect on the flame of faith within each of us, and to celebrate the light we can share with others whilst continuing on our spiritual journey.
