Together, we celebrated the coronation of our new King, Charles III, with lots of exciting activities throughout the day.
Each class researched a decade of King Charles’ life and then dressed in clothes inspired by that era.
Some classes were fortunate to receive a visit from the Deputy Lieutenant, who represents His Majesty the King across the West Midlands. Dawn spoke to us on behalf of King Charles III and explained the preparations and events involved in a coronation.
After a visit from the ice-cream van, Miss Crowley and Mr Wilson planted an apple tree in the school garden to mark this prestigious occasion.
“May God bless His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen Consort, preserve them both in health of mind and body and grant them every grace and blessing now and for years to come.” – Cardinal Vincent Nichols
